Jim Balsillie, Chair

Mr. Balsillie’s career is unique in Canadian business. He is the retired Chairman and co-CEO of Research In Motion (BlackBerry) (TSX:BB) (NASDAQ:BBRY), a technology company he scaled from an idea to $20 billion in sales globally. Mr. Balsillie’s private investment office includes global and domestic technology investments such as cybersecurity leader Magnet Forensics and space technology leader MDA Ltd. (TSX: MDA). He is the co-founder of the Institute for New Economic Thinking in New York, the Council of Canadian Innovators based in Toronto, and CIO Strategy Council, as well as founder of the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Waterloo, the Centre for Digital Rights, the Balsillie School of International Affairs, and the Arctic Research Foundation. He currently chairs the boards of CCI, CIGI, Innovation Asset Collective (Canada’s IP Collective) and co-Chairs CIOSC. He is also a member of the Board of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Advisory Board of the Stockholm Resilience Centre; an Honorary Captain (Navy) of the Royal Canadian Navy and an Advisor to Canada School of Public Service. Mr. Balsillie was the only Canadian ever appointed to US Business Council and was the private sector representative on the UN Secretary General’s High Panel for Sustainability. His awards include: several honorary degrees, Mobile World Congress Lifetime Achievement Award, India’s Priyadarshni Academy Global Award, Canadian Business Hall of Fame, Time Magazine’s World’s 100 Most Influential People and three times Barron’s list of "World’s Top CEOs.”

Jerome Pickett, Director

Mr. Pickett is a Senior Advisor at The Chertoff Group and is a renown senior executive with 25+ years of experience delivering innovative solutions, transformational servant leadership, crisis management and organization design. Mr. Pickett brings a unique blend of both public safety and corporate security experience to the Board of Directors. He spent 16 years with the United States Secret Service (“USSS”) in a variety of roles, including leading forensic investigations in electronic crimes, participating in search and rescue operations at Ground Zero, and working with a team of USSS agents that investigated the terrorists involved in the September 11th attacks. Mr. Pickett has received numerous awards, including the U.S. Secret Service Medal of Valor for his heroic actions during September 11.

After Mr. Pickett’s career with the U.S. Secret Service, he served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Security Officer for the National Basketball Association where he led all aspects of the league’s global security operations. Mr. Pickett continued his executive career by joining CLEAR, a secure identity company, leading the Sports & Entertainment business as SVP & General Manager.

Mr. Pickett currently serves as a member of the Marist College Board of Trustees and co-chaired the Department of Homeland Security Commercial Facilities Sector Coordinating Council. He holds a master’s degree in Homeland Security from American Military University, a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Marist College, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration.

Carol Leaman, Director

Carol Leaman is the CEO of Axonify, a SaaS based training and learning platform used in over 150 countries. Carol brings a wealth of leadership experience to the Magnet Forensics board. Over the past 20 years, Carol has built an impressive track record of successfully leading technology companies. Prior to Axonify, Carol was the CEO of PostRack Inc., a social engagement analytics platform that she sold to Google. She was also the CEO at several other technology firms, including RSS Solutions and Fakespace Systems. Carol is a celebrated entrepreneur and award-winning thought leader whose articles appear in leading learning, business and technology publications. Carol sits on the boards of many organizations and advises a variety of Canadian high-tech firms. Carol holds a BA, a Masters of Accounting (MAcc) and a Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) designation.

Adam Belsher, Director

Mr. Belsher joined the Company in 2011. He has 20 years of experience in the global technology sector as a marketing and sales executive. Most recently, Mr. Belsher served as Vice President of the Verizon Business Unit for BlackBerry Limited (formerly Research In Motion Limited) (TSX: BB)(NASDAQ: BBRY) from 1998 to 2011. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University and a Diploma in Business & Management Studies from the University of Bradford.

Jad Saliba, Director

Mr. Saliba founded the Company in 2010. He is a former digital forensics investigator who left policing in 2011 to devote his time to building the Company and developing the Company’s Internet Evidence Finder software into a thorough and easy-to-use software solution that recovers Internet-related artifacts from computers, smartphones and tablets. In the role of Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Saliba is focused on researching new methods of recovering and analyzing all types of evidence for digital forensics investigations. Mr. Saliba holds diplomas in Computer Science, Networking and Hardware and Advanced Network Security and Connectivity from Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology.
